About Wood N' Wheels

All Wood N Wheels toys are manufactured from either solid timber or plywood. This helps ensure they cope well with the rigours of daily use whether by an individual child at home or dozens of children in a preschool environment.

All major components are joined by a dowel instead of screws or nails. This enhances safety and makes them easily repairable. Wheels are joined using solid 8mm diameter wood dowel axles. The wheels and axles are not just tapped together but also have steel pins connecting the two components preventing wheels from coming off.

Solid dowel connectors are used to join rail wagons and truck and trailer units.

All toys are finished with a non-toxic varnish or food grade tongue oil to protect the timber and to make them easy to clean with a damp cloth.
